Classes are lead by Mark Linden, Director of Baseball Positive; a former professional player and NCAA D-I Head Coach. These classes give a player everything they need to develop a fundamentally sound batting swing and pitching delivery. All attendees receive a detailed Instruction Guide with drills, pictures, and videos. This serves as a Handbook for a player to use for continued skill development throughout the 2025 season and beyond.

These are Adult-Child programs

Each Pitcher must bring an adult (or responsible teen) to catch their pitches. All players pitch at the same time.

Some Batting drills involve an assistant (adult) helping the player. During swing work, the players are given specific focus points.  An involved adult helps the batter stay better focused.  Adult participation is not required, but strongly encouraged.  Keep in mind that we have 15-20 bats swinging at one time.  A mass of adults makes for a much safer environment for the kids.

In both classes, having an adult on hand, with the player, provides greater safety and a better learning environment for the kids. While these are ‘group’ programs, each player works individually.

Batting Class Description

Teaches the entire batting swing. Also, mental approach and how to practice with a purpose. Players learn how to fully utilize the body to maximize power, bat speed and produce a consistently accurate swing.

This is an Adult-Child program. Kids are more focused and behaved in this environment. They learn quicker and better establish the habits to continue development over the long-term. A core aspect of the learning process is daily 'Homework' (2 minutes per day to develop Muscle Memory). Parent involvement assures that the child learns the importance of, and is sure to practice, the Daily Drills between class sessions.

Teaching is presented on a 'kid level'; easy for the player to digest and translate to success on the field.

Program notes are provided prior to, and following, each workout. Players receive a drill plan for working out at home between each session. This aspect of the program ensures the kids maximize their learning. The home workouts are short in duration and designed with the attention span of a kid in mind. ...no equipment is needed to practice at home.

At the end of the program each participant receives a comprehensive guide for continuing their development. The guide includes all content taught in the class; includes video and pictures to support all instruction.

Mark, My boys (9 & 11 yrs) look forward to each hitting class.   You have a great sense and awareness for each players’ ability and in helping them understand what is being taught…Both boys have advanced greatly while working with you. They hit with so much more confidence.  -Coach Mark O., West Seattle

Mark worked with our 12 year-old All-Stars…a simple approach to all aspects of the game… The kids were applying what was being shown right away and their hitting improved from day one.
